Jet Airways’second Mumbai – Bangkok frequency

Jet Airways has successfully launched its second Mumbai – Bangkok & Bangkok – Mumbai daily flights.  The second frequency to the Thai capital launched is 9W 68, from Mumbai to Bangkok, with an option to also choose a return flight 9W 67 Bangkok – Mumbai sector.

 With an aim to serve as the best flight alternative on this sector, Jet Airways offers its Thai visitors to choose from two flights. Visitors can choose an afternoon flight that departs Mumbai at 13:05 and arrives in Bangkok at 18:55 hrs. Alternatively, visitors can also choose a night flight, which departs Mumbai at 1:10 am and arrives in Bangkok at 7:05 am. On your return, you can opt for the daily return flight on Jet Airways itself that departs Bangkok at 20:55 and arrives in Mumbai at 23:40.  

 Air India to launch low cost airline after mid-September

 Air India is planning to launch a low cost airline in September. According to Jitender Bhargava, executive director - corporate communications, Air India, "More and more passengers are becoming price sensitive in today's economic environment. We can't see our passengers moving to other LCCs." He added that the airline will launch low cost services under the Air India Express brand and the service is expected to start in the second fortnight of September.

 Finnair to restart Mumbai-Helsinki service from October 18

 Finnair is restarting its Mumbai-Helsinki operations from October 18. Finnair will be plying an Airbus 330, thrice a week to Helsinki from Mumbai. Finnair is offering a special inaugural fare of Rs 29,900 for an all-inclusive return ticket to Helsinki and there is neither cancellation nor rescheduling charges on bookings. The airline had started operations from Mumbai in June 2007, with flights five times a week to Helsinki. However, in March 2009, the airline had discontinued with the service due to operational losses.

 Kingfisher Airlines Introduces Kingfisher e-Coupons

Kingfisher Airlines has announced the launch of Kingfisher e-Coupon, a paperless form of payment which can be utilized to buy tickets on Kingfisher Airlines. Guests can buy Kingfisher e-Coupons in multiples of four, six or eight based on their travel requirements in all three classes of service i.e. Kingfisher First, Kingfisher Class and Kingfisher Red. This service will provide guests with a convenient option to buy these e-Coupons at a fixed price and use the same for their travel requirements.

 Commenting on the launch of this new initiative Mr. Prakash Mirpuri, Vice President, Corporate Communications, Kingfisher Airlines Limited said, "Kingfisher e-Coupons is yet another endeavor by Kingfisher Airlines to offer our guests unparalleled service and convenience. Kingfisher e-Coupons offer better value for money as compared to regular tickets and come with the option of being transferable, whereby they can be gifted and utilized by friends and relatives. With the introduction of the Kingfisher e-Coupons offering, guests who have a high-frequency of travel will be greatly benefitted as they will now have the option to buy multiple Kingfisher e-Coupons at a time. The simplicity and the convenience of the e-Coupons will make it a compelling ticketing channel. "

 Jet Airways to launch Bangkok-Gaya-Varanasi flights from October 6

 Jet Airways will connect Bangkok with Gaya and Varanasi on the Buddhist circuit with twice weekly flights from October 6. The airline will operate twice weekly services on the sector on Tuesdays and Fridays. These flights will allow people from the South Asian region to visit the famous Buddhist pilgrimage sites in India.

This option will also serve as an easy connectivity as Mumbai is a transit hub to most of the western region of India.

            An increase in passenger traffic between the Mumbai & Bangkok has led to a second frequency between both countries.

 Etihad Airways to fly to Hyderabad in November

 Etihad Airways will boost its Indian flying programme with the addition of Hyderabad to its global network. The Abu Dhabi-based airline will become the first airline to operate flights between its home base and the state capital of Andhra Pradesh when it launches its non-stop, four times a week service from November. The service will become daily from the beginning of 2010. Etihad currently operates 38 weekly flights from the UAE to India.
